This is my first blog and i know that i am going to commit such things which regular blogger say mistakes.I am new in this game,but want to play long innings if the crowd analysis me no matter either in positive or negative way.
Last weekend i saw movie "Slumdog Millionare" based on a story of children residing in slums of Mumbai.After completing it i was totally in shocked state.I kept thinking about that movie for 3-4 hours after finishing it.Next day paper headlines are "Slumdog Sweeps 3 Awards for best music.........".Global writers ,directors always produced India as a backward country for a very long time and this is continously going on tilll now.We too are not behind in this race.Last year Arvind Adiga's book white tiger grabs a booker award based on minor community of india.Also outsiders appreciate this stuff by awards.But should we shamed of or should we proud on it?i am hunting answers to this question till now and i now the answer will be difficult.This movie perfectly shows the present situations of slums residing in india which forms major part of our population.
Right now i can say that individual efforts by actors ,A.R.Rahman, Dannie Boyle are worth mentioning and deserve the way that slumdog millionaire is making strides globally but as a whole the base of the movie is shame for us.
